WHO AM I

 



 

 

Hello, I’m  Sandunika  Aththanayaka. I am twenty one years old. I live in Bibile. I am staying here with my family. I have one brother and one sister. There are five members in my family including me. My mother and father are working in government office. My brother is looking forward his graduation. My sister is studying in grade towel.

I studied at Mo/ Yashodhara girls’ collage in Bibile. I did arts for my A/L studies. Now I am an undergraduate of the Visual and Performing Arts. I am in my first year of sturdies.

There are many hobbies in my life. They are  reading books, watching films, playing instruments etc. Among my hobbies I love to grow flowers. When the plant bare blossoms I feel a trill of joy in my mind and take pride in my creative labor. As well as these days I read lot of  books for my studies in music.

In the future , I want continue teaching music. I really love it. I would like to present to the students many experimental facts about music. I hope to develop students’  knowledge and skills at the subject as well as at the practical level. I’m always trying to reach my ambition.

Sigiriya

                  Sigiriya is one of the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya the name refers to a site of historical by a archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters high.             According to the history of Sri Lanka this rock used as a kingdom in Sri Lanka by king Kashyapa in 5 th century. He built his palace on top of the rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Sigiriya consists with all features in the kingdom such as flower gardens, lakes, caves etc. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a getaway in the form of an enormous lion. MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE DAY

              My favorite time of the day is between 5 p. m and 7 p. m. This is the time when the sun is setting and the air is cooling down. At this time, I play some games, watch T.V, reading books.             My house is a large one. So, my family planted many trees surrounding our house, Birds come to the trees in the evening to sing their songs. I just sit under my favorite mango tree and listen to these songs.             However I cannot just sit quietly all the time. My parents sometimes ask me to help them. These I do gladly for the air is nice and cool. Working under a hot sun is one thing I don’t like. In the evening the sun is soft and gentle. So I like it.
